TEIPKIS Partners
TEIPKIS-ICT and EIP KIS submitted past Friday
Submitted by Alexander.Neofitov on Mon, 2007-09-10 16:56.Last Friday, 7th of September 2007 we have been lucky enough to collect all documents and send two proposals under Strand 1: Sectoral Networks and Strand 2: Horizontal support action of the Call of Proposals “European Innovation Platform for Knowledge Intensive Services” of the European Commission.
Each of the two proposals, named as you know TEIPKIS-ICT and EIP KIS, enlist respectively 15 and 21 partners, representing companies, organizations and public bodies, distributed more or less evenly on the territory of the EU. Creating such a pool of partners with a considerable level of cohesiveness is a great achievement in itself, but more impressive are the created steady relations and especially the established working environment and the ethos of understanding and collegiality.
I think this is the biggest achievement of the actions, conducted during the process of preparation of the two proposals. I hope we keep what we have created and continue working in this mode.
Please find attached the two final versions of the proposals, we have sent, as well as scanned deposit slips for the two proposals.
Thank you for your participation and support. Good luck to everybody and we will keep in touch
Sincerely,
Alexander Neofitov

We are an SME established since 1981, and have developed and productised many innovative and state-of-the-art Information and Communications Technology systems and participated in many EU projects over the years.
We are now focusing on distributed monitoring and control systems, and have developed a complete wide-area distributed monitoring and management system, with a local-area low-cost low-power Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) (using the open Zigbee standard) and Gateways to the wide area GSM/GPRS/3G/WiMax telecommunications infrastructure, and a web-service based backend management server system to provide real-time web user interfacing, integration with existing legacy management systems and very powerful user-definable reporting services. We have applied this in the environment sector (water quality monitoring for the Water Framework Directive) and energy sector (power grid monitoring and optimisation), so we would be very interested in exploring its application and use in the eHealth sector for distributed/remote real-time monitoring to enable independent living of aged people with special needs in their homes (as we feel that this would be an excellent sector for our technology).

Dear Colleagues
It has been quiet, I know, on the SME front after the December NESSI GA, the SME session and of course the Xmas break. The main reason for this has been the ramping up of the NESSI projects under FP7 which has been taking place during the last quarter and which can now have a positive impact on our community. In particular it was appropriate to wait for the inauguration of projects NEXOF-RA (The NESSI Reference Architecture) and NESSI 2010 (The NESSI Coordination action) and to resolve some administrative matters on this note as you will see in this mail.
I will leave you to read about the full details of the projects on the URLs but what I would like to introduce to you in this document is the open ICT SME component of both projects which whilst difficult to achieve, especially considering significant budget cuts, have managed to be inserted.

Submitted by Alexander.Neofitov on Wed, 2007-08-08 17:07.Dear Partners and Participants,
Time is now quite pressing for all of us, so we need each of us to implement some very concrete steps timely. These are the following:
- Please read carefully the latest versions of the TEIPKIS (http://ecentres.net/TEIPKIS_proposal) and CoompEUtition (http://ecentres.net/CoompEUtition_proposal) proposals, paying specific attention to the list of work packages and tasks.
Please verify your assigned role, having in mind that these are real responsibilities that must be fulfilled as soon as the project is approved and financed.
Verifying your role is the moment when you take responsibility for implementing the project tasks and participating in the project as a partner or participant. Again, please assume clear commitment and VERIFY your role to the responsible project coordinators!
Also, pay attention to the fact that your contribution is necessary for clearing out the work package tasks, where you can provide your expertise in providing more details and specifications.
Partner Description and Selection of Competences
Submitted by Alexander.Neofitov on Mon, 2007-08-06 13:20.Dear Partners,
In view of the progressing work on the three proposals we are preparing I want to remind you that we need a description of the capacity of each partner in order to distribute the list competences, required in each project to partners and subcontractors.
For the CoompEUtition/TEIPKIS proposals there are standard templates (a partner description form http://ecentres.net/Description_form and a professional and technical capacity template http://ecentres.net/Professional_Technical_Capacity) that can be used by participants to provide the relevant information, but only few organizations have uploaded these forms in the proposals sections of the eCentres website (http://ecentres.net/TEIPKIS_proposal and http://ecentres.net/CoompEUtition_proposal).
There are no such templates for the EIREP proposal, so I will ask you to provide me with a one-page account of your company profile, according to the following points:
